Author Patrick McBriarty will share his recent research about Chicago in 1812, relating the characters and events of this French and Indian outpost on the cusp of the War of 1812. The story begins with an Indian attack at Leigh's Farm, moves to the murder of the Indian Interpreter at the fort, and ends with the battle or massacre of Fort Dearborn -- depending upon how it is told.
