Former EP resident and writer for the Daily Southtown, Daily Herald, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and other publications, Anna Marie Kukec Tomczyk will discuss her book: We Are Eagles: Inspiring Stories of Immigrant Women Who Took Bold Steps in Life Through Literacy.  The book focuses on five immigrant women over a 25-year period and how they succeeded in life after attending the Aurora-based Dominican Literacy Center.
