Dr. Daniel Davis returns to the Library. During his presentation, he will examine the genesis, cultural norms, and societal impact of hip hop. We will discuss the myriad factors that have contributed to hip hop's immeasurable influence in the United States and abroad over the past 50 years. Attendees will learn about the intersection of hip hop culture, media, commercialism, U.S. history, and race relations.
