Virtual Author Visit with Ryan Estrada

Meet artist, author, and adventurer Ryan Estrada! Ryan teamed up with his wife Kim Hyun Sook, and illustrator Ko Hyung-Ju to make the award-winning graphic novel Banned Book Club, the true story of Kim Hyun Sook’s experiences being hunted down by the police for participating in an underground illegal reading club in 1980's Korea. Ironically, this book has been banned in Florida, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Texas. But it is also taught in schools and libraries worldwide and the recipient of many awards including Will Eisner Nominee, NPR Best Book of 2020, YALSA Excellence in Nonfiction, and many more.
