Toddler Time is an interactive story time program for children ages 18-35 months and their adult caregivers. There is no Toddler Time on July 2.

Enjoy a coach bus ride out to the Morton Arboretum.  First take a tour of the Sterling Library, then a guided tour of the arboretum grounds.  Lunch on your own following the guided tour. We will leave for home at 1 pm.

Are you krazy for K-pop?  Join other K-pop enthusiasts as we work on our dance moves, watch K-dramas and music videos, create your favorite idol, and make signs for your favorite group!

Explain guidelines, show example and supplies to kids, clean up and keep room and supplies tidy and in order.

Join us anytime from 2pm-4pm, to make handmade cards for kids who are hospitalized.  People of all ages are welcome.  We'll send the cards to the Chicago organization, Cards for Hospitalized Kids (

This event is full.  Kids ages 3-6 are invited to grab their tutus and join us for Ballerina Story Time.  We'll listen to stories about ballet class, then get to sample a real ballet class, taught by an instructor from the Evergreen Park

Create a coil pot out of clay the first week and paint it the second week. Children must be able to attend both sessions.

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of do-it-yourself projects!  Bring out your creative side!  For kids entering grades 4-7.  Please register for each activity you are attending.

Supervise the cardboard construction lab.  Clean up.

Clean the puzzles and the fire safety shelf.  If you get a ride home, please let your ride know that the library closes at 5 pm.

Drop in anytime from 5pm to 7pm on select Mondays in July to try out our Makedo cardboard construction kit.  We'll have a new building challenge each day.

Bring a smock and get ready for some messy fun!  Little fingers will experiment with painting, gluing, sticking, printing, and creating while developing fine motor, language and self-help skills.  For kids ages 2-5.

It was 50 years ago on July 20, 1969 when man first stepped foot upon the Moon, fulfilling the challenge made by President John F Kennedy in 1961.

Children from birth through age 6 and their families will enjoy stories, songs and fun activities together. Feel free to wear your pajamas!  There is no Family Story Time on July 4.
