Join us for a heartwarming presentation by local quilter and story teller Deb Lindahl as she shares her fascinating family history through the art of quilt making. Inspired by her favorite book, The Hundred Dresses by Eleanor Estes, Deb created quilt squares made of family clothing snipped into the shape of dresses. She stitched 100 of these dress squares into a story quilt that tells the joys and struggles of her family’s history reflected in each piece of fabric she chose. She also wrote an essay to accompany each quilt square, telling 100 stories about the 100 little dresses in this heirloom quilt.

Bringing together her skills as a teacher, librarian, writer, and accomplished quilter, Deb will share with us her unique experience of how to preserve family heritage in this creative way.
