Reading Buddies is a literacy program for children in grades K-5. Children choose a library book, read aloud to their high school reading buddy, play games, and work on homework!

Join us for an Author talk with Evergreen Park’s own, Melissa Fraterrigo, to discuss her newest memoir in essays, The Perils of Girlhood, which was published in September 2025.

Drop in anytime from 10am-4pm to play everyone's favorite imaginary game, The Floor is Lava!  We'll have the downstairs meeting room set up with all you'll need to play a rousing game with your family, friends, or other community members that

Roll up your sleeves and get ready for some messy fun. Drop in anytime from 1:30 to 3 pm for some sensory play and exploration. This playtime program is for children ages 5 and under and their caregivers. No registration required.

Enjoy stories, songs, rhymes and fun for you and your baby!  For babies from birth through 17 months with a caregiver. There is no Baby Bookworms on October 20 and November 24.  Please register.

Relieve Stress Through Meditation

Toddler Time is an interactive story time program for children ages 18-35 months and their adult caregivers.  There is no Toddler Time on October 21 and November 25. Please register.

Learn about artists such as Van Gogh and Picasso, then create your own art using the techniques they used. For kids entering 1st through 5th grade.

Grab your crochet hook, knitting needles, or sewing kit and join other crafters for some social stitching! Show off your WIP (work in progress), get some tips, or just drop in.

Are you confused with all the healthcare choices? Evergreen Park resident Joyce Bonner will be in the Library to provide you with answers, referrals, and resources to make an informed decision.

Certified yoga instructor Joan Zigulich of Yoga Pathway, LLC, will lead you in a chair yoga practice, This gentle form of yoga consists of simple movements to strengthen and stretch the whole body all while seated in a chair.

Did you know that a healthy diet and exercise benefit both the body and the brain? In this session, many lifestyle factors that contribute to brain health will be discussed. 

Members of the public are welcome to attend. Each regular agenda provides time for public participation. Patrons addressing the Library Board must state their full name for the record, and limit their comments to three minutes.

Preschool Storytime combines stories and songs for kids from 3-5 years old.  Please register.  There's no Preschool Storytime on October 23 or November 27.
