Event List

Make a tie-dyed t-shirt. Please bring your own washed, white, cotton t-shirt. The dye stains, so wear old clothes and shoes. We will meet in the staff parking lot behind the Library.  For kids entering 12th grade and under. 

Get ready to dodge, duck, dip and splash in this exciting twist on a classic game!  Players will compete in a friendly outdoor game of dodgeball using water balloons.  Wear clothes that can get wet and feel free to bring a towel.

Join us for 4 weeks of messy, outdoor fun!  We'll splash, splatter, drip, spray and create!  Please wear clothes that you can get messy in.  In case of rain, we will meet indoors.

Color Our World! Design a colorful, faux-stained glass bookmark. Supplies provided.

Compare the density of different liquids while creating a rainbow in a jar!  For kids entering 1st through 5th grade.  

Learn how to crochet a rainbow granny square in 3 sessions.  Beginners are welcome and the Library will supply yarn and needles.

What is plein air painting?  It's just a fancy way of saying painting outside.  Meet at James J. Sexton Park (91st and Rockwell) to paint what you see. Registration required.  For kids in grades K to 5.

Join us at the Evergreen Park Urban Barn at James J. Sexton Park for an evening of plein air painting - painting outdoors. Find inspiration in the barn animals, pond, butterflies, wildflowers and more. Art supplies provided.
