May 20 Healthy relationships and Self-Care
Healthy relationships include caring for yourself as well as others. In this session, we will build a healthy relationship and self-care toolbox. We look to explore practical ways to practice self-care in relationships by highlighting the importance of intentionality, setting healthy boundaries and limits, and being able to clearly identify and communicate expectations. We will also discuss simple, in-the-moment strategies to manage stress during interactions—such as deep breathing, grounding, and shifting perspective—as well as ways to care for yourself afterward through reflection, processing emotions, and relaxation. These tools support staying connected with others while honoring your own needs as well.
